The Battle of Brandywine, which unfolded on Sept. 11, 1777, stands as the largest, single-day land battle of the American Revolution.

The museum features an archaeological discovery in the form of a defensive structure called a cheval de frise. Visitors may tour the reconstructed and restored homes of the Ring and Gilpin families.
