The Daniel Boone Homestead includes the Boone House, restored and furnished with period collections.

Historic Site

Daniel Boone Homestead will be open Sunday, March 8 for Charter Day from 12:00 Noon to 4:00 PM. Admission fees are waived that day. The Boone house and other historic structures will be open for tours.  18th century music will be played on antique instruments in Boone house, with spinning, hearth cooking, and gun building demonstrations on site. The Amity Colonial Dancers will give dancing demonstrations with audience participation encouraged.  Children will learn quill writing, be mustered into the Revolutionary War militia, play period games, and much more!

Beginning March 9, 2020:

Monday:  9:00 AM – 4:00 PM Gates Open/Grounds Only
Tuesday:  9:00 AM – 4:00 PM Gates Open/Grounds Only
Wednesday:  9:00 AM – 4:00 PM Gates Open/Grounds Only
Thursday:  9:00 AM – 4:00 PM Gates Open/Grounds Only
Friday:  9:00 AM – 4:00 PM Gates Open/Grounds/Visitor Center and Historic Buildings Open
Saturday:  9:00 AM – 4:00 PM Gates Open/Grounds/Visitors Center and Historic Buildings Open
Sunday:  9:00 AM – 4:00 PM Gates Open/Grounds/Visitors Center and Historic Buildings Open

Gates will be closed (and locked) to vehicle traffic promptly at 4:00 PM

The grounds are open for pedestrian use from sunrise to sunset.
